Regular price £580.00 £0.00 Unit price per

A pair of 18th Century soft-paste Sèvres serving dishes, featuring bleu celeste ground, handpainted flowers and fruit, and extensive tooled gilding. A very similar design is held by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and is visible on their collection webpage. Assiette a palmes | V&A Explore The Collections (vam.ac.uk)

The decoration is later, likely by Thomas Randall, and closely follows the service made for Louis XV of France – see an example here A VINCENNES PORCELAIN 'BLEU CELESTE' PLATE (ASSIETTE A GAUDERON) FROM THE FIRST SERVICE MADE FOR LOUIS XV, CIRCA 1754, BLUE INTERLACED L'S ENCLOSING DATE LETTER A | Christie’s (christies.com)

Condition is excellent, no cracks or crazing. Gilt and pattern is in good order. Both dishes have a chip to one of their pointed ends, only seen from underneath (pictured).
